I don't mean to bash the game, but I don't think it's aged well. But it's always fun to fire it up for an hour or two and blast through the first 35 levels on one credit.ĪvP does indeed rock. My problem with it is that I got bored/pwnd around level 80, and there are over 100 levels AFAIK. I don't really consider it a shmup, but I guess some people do. Tempest 2000 is fantastic, as most who've played it will admit. It's really just a boring, uninspired low budget shooter. There is no music past the title screen, to my knowledge. The powerups are widely varied, but still nothing too new. They just chuck all sorts of crap at you, and if you have really good reflexes, you do okay. There is no consideration whatsoever given to Enemy Placement, and that is one of the most important aspects of a shooter. Trevor McFur is really not worth hunting down, IMO. ![]() There was some good discussion on the game in this thread. Basically it's very playable, but your ship moves a little too slowly. I think Raiden is awesome, but I can't really compare it to the arcade version, as I only recently got the Raiden Project for PSX and haven't had time to play it. I have Raiden, Trevor McFur, and Tempest 2000 for my Jag.
